Well, well, wellβ¦ Adam Lockwood definitely did not disappoint. I loved him from the first book, but even more so after reading this book. Heβs probably my favorite in the Vancouver Vipers hockey team (sorry, Carter βοΈ).
One thing that resonated with me the most in this book was how relatable Rosieβs thoughts and feelings were. Her journey to overcome her fears and hesitations so she can give herself and her son a better life is truly inspiring.
Adam and Rosie felt like two pieces of a puzzle, everything just fell into place the moment they found each other. And I couldnβt be any happier because they both deserve all the love in the world π
I genuinely wanted this to be a new favorite, but I just felt that something was missing from the delivery of the whole story. Donβt get me wrong, I liked it and I enjoyed it overall but that emotional spark and connection I was hoping for just didnβt hit me right in the feels the way I wanted it to π₯Ί Anyhow, three books down and two more to go in this series! πβΈοΈ
In the sizzling hockey romance that has taken TikTok by storm, the star goalie discovers the family heβs always wanted when he falls in love with a single mother.
The third book in the globally popular Playing for Keeps series.
Can he leave the past behind to forge the future heβs always wanted?
When it comes to dating, Adam Lockwood wouldnβt know luck if it hit him in the face. After a failed relationship and a string of dates gone wrong, the thought of being vulnerable with someone is terrifyingβmost women only see his fame. But when his dog runs into Rosie Wells, a beautiful woman with a blush as pink as her hair, she doesnβt seem to have a clue who he is, and Adam seizes the opportunity as a chance to finally be himself.
Rosie has her hands full as a single mother and fourth-year veterinary student, and she certainly wouldnβt know a hockey player if she ran into one. She doesnβt have time to date, and sheβs fiercely protective of her little family. But when a chance encounter leads her to Adam, she knows itβs worth risking her heart.
The only problem? Adam is used to wearing a maskβheβs a goalie, after all. And as he holds onto a secret that threatens to unravel him and destroy his new family, theyβre both at risk of losing more than ever before.
