Ruthless Vows by by Rebecca Ross (Letters of Enchantment #2)

I absolutely fell in love with Divine Rivals, but I somehow loved this duology even more after reading Ruthless Vows. Rebecca Ross truly raised the stakes in this one. The escalating war between Dacre and Enva added so much tension, urgency, and depth to the story. Everything felt more dangerous, and I was lowkey stressed the whole time for Iris and Roman. It honestly felt like every letter could be their last, and I was so not ready if anything bad happened to either of them 🥲 They’re just so precious!
Ruthless Vows had me going through a whirlwind of emotions. I felt like I was right there alongside Iris and Roman through it all. And it’s not just them, this duology is filled with so many characters you can’t help but grow attached to. By the end, I was feeling so emotional because I just wanted everyone to be safe, to find their way back to each other, to be okay 🥹 The ending was such a beautiful conclusion to this story, but I can’t deny that my heart is still a little broken… iykyk 🥺
And I can’t help but wish Dacre and Enva would get their own book someday 🤞 There’s just so much more to their story, and I’d absolutely love to read about it. But for now, I’m really looking forward to reading Wild Reverence! ✨
TORN APART BY WAR. REUNITED BY LOVE? The epic conclusion to the intensely romantic and beautifully written story that started in Divine Rivals.
Two weeks have passed since Iris returned home bruised and heartbroken from the front, but the war is far from over.
Roman is missing, lost behind enemy lines, with no memory of his past, or Iris. Hoping his memories return, he begins to write again – but this time for the enemy.
When a strange letter arrives through his wardrobe door, he strikes up a correspondence with a penpal who seems at once mysterious… and strangely familiar.
As their connection deepens, the two of them will risk their very hearts and futures to change the tides of the war.
