Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir is one of those books where you can’t help but think how amazing it is to be a reader, to have the chance to read something like this, but even more, how brilliant the author is for having written it.
I admit the science aspect of the book can be a bit intimidating at the beginning, but eventually you settle into it and you’ll understand some, if not all of it. And honestly, you don’t need to understand every technical detail to appreciate the heart of the story. Trust me. 😅
I know for a fact that no one can ever force me to read a book with this much science, but thank God for Dr. Ryland Grace and Rocky. Their dynamic, their humor, and their friendship made the whole experience even more special. I found myself so invested that I didn’t just get through the book, I genuinely loved every minute of it.
I don’t know what else to say, this book was just amazing. Definitely a 5-star read ⭐️ It’s rare to find a book that can make you think this much while also making you feel just as deeply.
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission – and if he fails, humanity and the earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it.
All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.
His crewmates dead, his memories fuzzily returning, Ryland realises that an impossible task now confronts him. Hurtling through space on this tiny ship, it's up to him to puzzle out an impossible scientific mystery and conquer an extinction-level threat to our species.
And with the clock ticking down and the nearest human being light-years away, he's got to do it all alone. Or does he?
