Play With Me by Becka Mack (Playing for Keeps #2)

Play With Me is the second book in the Playing for Keeps series by Becka Mack. I loved how Garrett and Jennie's relationship started with friendship, how they became a safe space for each other to open up about their fears and struggles. It was heartwarming to read how their bond grew from comfort and understanding before turning into something deeper. I liked this less than the first book but I still enjoyed reading it. My only complaint is that it was too long and felt a bit dragged at times ๐ All the Carter + Olivia (Consider Me) moments were such a welcome bonus, though I did get a little annoyed at how Carter reacted when he found out about Garrett and Jennie's relationship.
Next up is Unravel Me! Iโm most excited for this one because books 1 and 2 did such a great job building up Adam Lockwoodโs character. Cant wait!

Heโs found the perfect personโbut sheโs the only one he canโt be withโฆ
Garrett Andersen knows that playing professional hockey requires absolute dedication to the rules. Thereโs just one rule heโs finding difficult to follow: stay away from his captainโs younger sister.
As a professional dancer, Jennie Beckett knows what it takes to excel. She prides herself on being every bit as confident and bold as her brother, sassy as hell, and the only person in charge of her pleasure. No wonder Garrett canโt stay away from herโeven if he forgets how to form sentences whenever sheโs around.
Jennie would rather avoid her brotherโs teammate, especially after several embarrassing run-ins, but suddenly theyโre neighbors. And as the connection between them grows, Garrett and Jennie decide to have some fun, no strings attached. Between their busy schedules and her brotherโs disapproval, they know keeping things casual and low-key is the smartest play.
But what if their feelings get in the way? After all, theyโre only supposed to be playing with each otherโฆ
