mini book reviews: Between Then and Now by Kyra Ysabel, In The Likely Event by Rebecca Yarros, An Offer From A Gentleman by Julia Quinn
March has been pretty great so far, and I’ve had some amazing reads along the way. With just one week left, I’m hoping to squeeze in another book or two before the month ends. In the meantime, here’s a little reading update with mini book reviews! ☺️
🌸 Between Then and Now by Kyra Isabel
I want to go to Batanes! That has been my constant thought while reading this book. @kyraysabelwrites has chosen the perfect place for falling in love. It's no wonder Bon and Ryan couldn't resist falling for each other. This story is such a sweet and heartwarming read, full of charm and romance. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!
✈️ In The Likely Event by Rebecca Yarros
This book has received quite a bit of criticism, so it almost feels wrong to admit that I enjoyed it. I love angsty romance, and the story started off really strong. However, about halfway through, I started to feel a sense of detachment. Some of Nate’s actions and decisions felt unfair to Izzy, making it harder to stay fully invested in their relationship. That being said, the plot twist at the end completely took me by surprise. I did not see it coming! 🫣
🌹An Offer From A Gentleman by Julia Quinn
I started my Bridgerton series reread at the end of January, and I’m now on book 3 of 8. Benedict and Sophie’s story remains one of my absolute favorites in the series. It has that perfect mix of fairytale romance and classic Bridgerton charm that makes it such a good period love story! 🥹
