Consider Me by Becka Mack (Playing for Keeps #1)

This October, I decided to start the Playing for Keeps series by Becka Mack which i've been wanting to read since May but kept putting off because each book is around 500 pages or so haha
I finished the first book, Consider Me, last Wednesday and it was just the comedic and romantic relief I needed after my last read almost pushed me into a reading slump ๐ I really enjoyed reading this one! Some might find it a bit cheesy and corny but I had so much fun that I didn't mind how lengthy this book was. Carter is the life of this story. Heโs funny, adorable, confident, and has the kind of charm that makes you smile even when heโs being ridiculous. His antics had me laughing and grinning all throughout the book.
I also loved getting to know the rest of the characters, and Iโm already excited to dive into their stories next! ๐

Carter Beckett is the NHL's resident badboy, top player both on the ice & in the bedroom, and quite possibly the sexiest man to ever grace my field of vision. But worst of all? He knows it.
Heโs arrogant, self-centered, and the man doesnโt seem to know what a filter is, let alone how to use one. Heโs had everything served to him on a silver platter, including endless strings of women, and apparently, Iโm up next.
His only problem? I have no intention of falling for his shiโum, charm.
I have the solution to all my sexual frustrations in a drawer at home, and itโs far less complicated than Carter Beckett. Sure, he may be pretty, but heโs also a walking, talking reminder for you to wrap it before you tap it.
But then I start letting my guard down, and he starts showing me pieces of himself I had no intention of seeing. The bricks surrounding me may be tumbling down one by one, but Iโm not sold yet, which means for the first time in his life, Carterโs the one begging.
For my time, my trust, for a single chance. For me to justโฆconsider him.
